Steal A Tree Juice Guide: Fruit to Juice to Cash (2026)

How fruit becomes juice in Steal A Tree: the automatic vat pipeline, how NPC customers pay out, which upgrades change juice income, and why earnings stall.

In Steal A Tree, juice is your money: plant a tree, its fruit rolls into the FRUIT JUICE VAT on its own, the vat converts it automatically, and NPC customers walk up and buy the juice — each sale pays cash. Once a tree is mature, the whole loop runs without input from you, so the practical goal is feeding the pipeline with more trees and selling juice at a higher value.

The fruit-to-juice pipeline

The production chain runs automatically once a tree is planted:

  1. Plant a stolen sapling in an empty farm slot; it matures on its own timer into a full tree (the first tree is usually a common Apple Tree).
  2. Grown trees shed fruit automatically.
  3. The dropped fruit rolls into the FRUIT JUICE VAT.
  4. The vat converts it into juice with no player input.
  5. NPC customers walk up and buy the juice, and each sale pays out cash.

The game's own description confirms the loop at a high level: "Turn your fruit into juice to gain money."

The customer sale loop and why tree count matters

Customers form a line and purchase juice near the machine. Juice piles up on its own once a tree is mature — the number on screen is the gain being added. Because every sale pays cash and the process requires no player input, the variable that matters most is simple: the number of trees you have planted. The recommended rhythm is to steal, plant, let the vat sell for you, and spend the cash on whichever side of the loop is holding you back.

Upgrades that change juice throughput and value

Three upgrade tracks affect the pipeline differently. Expand Plot adds planting spots, raising the tree-count ceiling; Juice / Customer raises how much juice each NPC buys per visit; and Juice Income multiplies what that juice is worth. Example tiers and costs reported in current play coverage:

UpgradeExample tierCost
Juice / Customer2.0x25,000 cash
Juice / Customer3.0x125,000 cash
Juice Income1.1x10,000 cash
Expand PlotFirst expansion15,000 cash
Expand PlotSecond expansion150,000 cash

Note these are example tiers, not a complete price ladder — check the in-game shop for current costs, especially after economy balance changes.

Balancing plot expansion with sapling supply

Avoid lopsided investment: expanding the plot before you have saplings waiting is wasted money, and stockpiling saplings you can't plant is wasted running. Keep the two roughly in step — expand when you're bringing home trees with nowhere to put them. If gnomes keep taking your saplings, buy speed instead; if the farm is full and the customer queue never stops, expand. Free saplings arrive via quests and playtime rewards, so a slow start usually fixes itself before high-tier treadmill upgrades come into reach.

Common stall points come back to this balance: an empty plot means no fruit, a full plot means the bottleneck is elsewhere, and low Juice Income or Juice / Customer tiers mean each sale underpays for the fruit you're producing.

Trees that feed the vat

You don't choose what a sapling becomes — it grows into whatever tree it was going to be, and rarity is revealed as it matures. Known trees in the game:

TreeRarity
Apple TreeCommon
Strawberry TreeCommon
Plum TreeEpic
Pear TreeLegendary

Exact juice output per tree and per-rarity juice values aren't published in-game, so treat higher-rarity trees as worth testing rather than assuming a fixed multiplier.
