Steal A Tree Pets: What's Confirmed About the Pets Update and Where to Get Them
Steal A Tree has a pets update and a Pet Shop among its four shops. Here's what's currently confirmed, plus the working Steps code and how the game's collection loop works.
Steal A Tree! by Juice Society has a pets update — the game's current official Roblox title is "[PETS🐾] Steal A Tree!" What's confirmed so far is the update itself and the Pet Shop as one of the game's four shops. A full list of individual pets, their rarities, costs, and gameplay effects isn't documented yet. To check pets yourself, open the Pet Shop from the main menu in-game, where the current roster and prices appear in stock. Meanwhile, the confirmed pieces of the pets picture are: where the Pet Shop sits in the game, what pets are layered on top of, and the current free code supporting the grind around them.
The Pet Shop and where to find it
Four shops sit off the main menu in Steal A Tree:
- Trail Shop — sells flat speed multipliers
- Gear Shop — stocks tools (a Shovel runs 1,000 cash)
- Pet Shop — the pets-related shop; its stock, currency, and pricing aren't detailed in current reporting
- Ticket Shop — gates its stock behind its own requirements rather than plain cash
The Pet Shop is the confirmed acquisition context for pets, but check it in-game for the current roster and prices, since that detail hasn't been published yet.
The loop pets sit on top of
Pets and mutations are layered on top of Steal A Tree's core tycoon loop, and filling the Index takes real time. That loop works like this: you sneak trees away from gnomes, plant them at your own base, wait for rare fruit to grow, juice that fruit for money, and spend the cash on base upgrades. Speed is trained on an upgradeable treadmill — Wooden is the starting tier, Iron costs 50,000 cash, and Golden costs 500,000 cash. Trails add flat speed multipliers on top: Grey gives 1.5x for 1K, Green gives 2x for 25K, and Purple gives 2.5x for 100K.
Trees themselves span rarity bands from Common (Apple, Strawberry) through Epic (Plum) to Legendary (Pear), establishing the rarity framework a pet roster is classified within.
Free Steps code during the pets-update era
During the pets-update era (September 2026), one working code is reported:
- Welcome — 1,000 Steps (new; no codes expired at publication)
Extra Steps train speed faster, which supports the steal-and-plant loop that pets and mutations are layered on top of.
To redeem it:
- Open Steal A Tree on Roblox and wait until your base loads.
- Look around your screen for a Shop button.
- Tap that button and find the code box at the very bottom.
- Type the code exactly as written.
New codes are primarily posted in the official Discord server.
Bottom line
The pets update and the Pet Shop are in the game now; the individual pet roster, costs, and effects aren't published yet. Open the Pet Shop off the main menu to see the current stock in-game, redeem Welcome for 1,000 Steps to speed up the surrounding grind, and check back after the next pets-related update — the roster and effects need rechecking whenever one lands.
