Steal A Tree Money Guide: How to Earn Cash Fast and Spend It Right
A current Steal A Tree cash guide covering the steal-plant-sell income loop, upgrade and speed costs, spending priorities, and free cash from quests, playtime, daily rewards, and codes.
Cash in Steal A Tree comes from one loop: steal a sapling, plant it, and sell the juice it produces. You leave your base through the safe-zone exit, grab a sapling from the active zone (usually a common Apple Tree on your first run), carry it home, plant it in an empty farm slot, and let it grow. The tree sheds fruit automatically, the fruit rolls into the FRUIT JUICE VAT, and the vat converts it into juice with no input from you. NPC customers queue up and buy juice, and each sale pays out cash — this is your entire income stream, so the number of trees planted matters most. One warning: if a gnome catches you mid-carry, you get knocked down and the sapling is gone, with no partial credit.
Plot upgrades and their costs
Your plot has three upgrade tracks with different jobs. Expand Plot adds planting spots and raises your ceiling. Juice / Customer raises how much juice each NPC buys per visit, and Juice Income multiplies what that juice is worth. Reported tiers and costs:
| Upgrade | Example tier | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Juice / Customer | 2.0x | 25,000 cash |
| Juice / Customer | 3.0x | 125,000 cash |
| Juice Income | 1.1x | 10,000 cash |
| Expand Plot | First expansion | 15,000 cash |
| Expand Plot | Second expansion | 150,000 cash |
Prices come from a September 2026 report — recheck them in-game after balance patches before treating any figure as fixed.
Match spending to your bottleneck
Put cash into whichever side of the loop is holding you back:
- Gnomes keep tackling you during runs? Buy speed (see below).
- Farm is full and the customer queue never stops? Expand the plot.
Timing matters. Expanding the plot before you have saplings waiting is wasted money, and stockpiling saplings you can't plant is wasted running — keep the two roughly in step and expand only when you're bringing home trees you have nowhere to put. The game is generous with free saplings through quests and playtime, so a slow start usually fixes itself before the Golden Treadmill comes into reach.
When speed investment pays back
Speed protects your income because a run fails if a gnome catches you. Running on the treadmill on your plot raises your speed stat passively while your trees keep producing juice, so it's worth doing between steal runs rather than instead of them. Reported treadmill tiers:
| Treadmill | Cost |
|---|---|
| Wooden Treadmill | Starting tier |
| Iron Treadmill | 50,000 cash |
| Golden Treadmill | 500,000 cash |
Trails, bought from the Trail Shop, apply a flat speed multiplier — the fastest fix for a run that keeps ending in a gnome tackle:
| Trail | Rarity | Effect | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grey Trail | Common | 1.5x Speed | 1K cash |
| Green Trail | Rare | 2x Speed | 25K cash |
| Purple Trail | Epic | 2.5x Speed | 100K cash |
Free cash and resources
Free income comes from three places, all worth claiming the moment they light up:
- Daily rewards — start at Day 1 on your first login.
- Playtime rewards — tick over as you stay in the server and pay out cash, speed, and saplings.
- Numbered quest chains — cleared passively as you play:
- Coin Collector 1, 2, 3 — cash milestones
- Juice Seller 1, 2, 3 — juice sold to customers
- Upgrade Master 1, 2 — plot and treadmill upgrades purchased
- Plains Sapling Hunter and Flowerfield Sapling Hunter — saplings stolen by type
Other shops: the Gear Shop stocks tools (a Shovel runs 1,000 cash), while the Pet Shop and Ticket Shop round out the set, with the Ticket Shop gating its stock behind its own requirements rather than plain cash.
Codes: free Steps for the early loop
A code redemption interface is reported in the Shop menu (scroll to the code box at the bottom). As of the September 2026 report, the working code is Welcome, redeemable for 1,000 Steps — no codes had expired at the time of reporting, but a code can be retired at any update. Steps feed the treadmill, so extra Steps mean more speed: reaching a gnome tree, lifting it, and getting home before a patrolling gnome catches you, which shortens the early wait before rare fruits show up.
To redeem:
- Open Steal A Tree on Roblox and wait until your base loads.
- Tap the Shop button and find the code box at the very bottom.
- Type the code exactly as written and confirm.
The main source of new codes is the game's official Discord server.
